How to play
The football career path game asks you to guess a mystery footballer from their career path — the list of clubs they played for, revealed step by step. The earlier you name the player from fewer clubs, the higher your score.

You start with limited information and can reveal more of the career path if you need it, but each extra club clue lowers the score available for that player. Type the player's name to lock a guess; close spellings are accepted. There are difficulty levels and a timed mode for an extra challenge.
Read the first career-path clue — usually the first club or start of the player's journey. If you recognise the footballer, type their name straight away for the top score. If not, reveal the next club in the career path for another clue. Enter your guess once you are confident; you score more the fewer clubs you needed. Move to the next player and keep building your total.
Distinctive transfers (a rare club or a famous move) often give the player away from a single career-path clue. Read the sequence of clubs, not just one — a career arc across leagues narrows the answer fast. In timed mode, trust your first instinct on well-known career paths to save seconds. Pick the difficulty that matches your knowledge so the club clues stay rewarding.
